How to Improvise on the Piano Using Music Theory

Learn how to come up with songs on the spot on the piano using the music theory knowledge you have accumulated up until now. You don’t know music theory? Check out my website to learn all about it! http://www.lessonsontheweb.com

This is a preview lesson for my online academy so I make references to topics covered over there. Generally you want to have a chord progression in mind and to start use chord tones to create a melody with your right hand while using chords with your left hand. Improv takes a lot of practice on the piano to get it right. As you experiment around, you will come up with things that sound great and… not so great but that is all part of the experience!
